Connie Cummings 
Director of Human Resources 

 

Connie Cummings brings 14 years of progressive experience working in the human resources field with a specific focus on the defense and aerospace industry supporting the mission of equipping and advancing the warfighter. Prior to joining InterFuze, she served as the Director of Human Resources at Cummings Aerospace and has worked at Davidson Technologies, Iron Mountain, and other defense industry firms.

Throughout her career, she has honed skills and strengths in the areas of both corporate and legal compliance as well as employee engagement and retention. She strongly believes that the key reason for employee turnover is the lack of recognition and has spent her career building relationships with people and ensuring that each one felt heard, seen, and respected.

Ms. Cummings is a certified practitioner through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP). She is the Director at Large on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Valley Chapter of Women in Defense and is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals.

 

Ms. Cummings values volunteering in her community and has worked with the American Cross as well as providing coaching and mentorship through the Huntsville Rotary Club and the Downtown Rescue Mission. She received a BA in Public Health Studies from East Carolina University and an MA from the University of Alabama. Ms. Cummings is also a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville® Management Academy, Class #11. 

Connie has a dog named Brady – a boxer and terrier mix breed she adopted from the Huntsville Humane Society. She comes from a very large family and is the youngest of 10 siblings. A native of North Carolina, she is a member of the Lumbee Indian Tribal Nation. She enjoys spending time with her relatives at the family lake house in Georgia. She is a staunch college football fan and loves to support her alma mater, the East Carolina Pirates.
